The venue stood exquisitely embellished, enveloping the celebration in an ambience of pride and festive solemnity. The occasion was graced by the august presence of Dr. Kiran G. R., President of the Indian School Muscat Management Committee, along with the Vice President, Convener, Treasurer, Co-convener, and other esteemed members of the Management Committee. Also present were the Principal, Mr. Rakesh Joshi, Senior Vice-Principal-Administration, Vice-Principals, Assistant Vice-Principals, Heads of Departments, faculty members, grandparents, parents and students.
The programme commenced with the solemn rendition of the Indian National Anthem, evoking a profound sense of national devotion. Reflections on the historic significance of 26th January 1950, the day India adopted its Constitution and emerged as a sovereign democratic republic, reaffirmed the enduring values of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. The formal welcome address conveyed cordial greetings to the dignitaries and profound gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq for his magnanimous patronage of the Indian community in the Sultanate of Oman.
A deeply poignant moment unfolded as Dr. Kiran G. R. recited excerpts from the address of the Honourable President of India, Shrimati Droupadi Murmu, delivered on the eve of the 77th Republic Day, with profound reverence, inspiring the audience to uphold constitutional ideals and embrace collective responsibility. The occasion further celebrated excellence, with Ms. Priya Sanjeev Nair of the Primary Section receiving the Teaching Excellence School Level Award 2024-2025, an initiative of the Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman.
