REPORT ON ISM MUN JUNIOR - 2025

The Department of Social Science, Middle Section, proudly hosted the much-awaited second edition of ISM MUN Junior 2025 on November 15, 2025, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. This event brought together young, enthusiastic delegates for a day of meaningful discussion and learning. The main goal of the conference was to help students build their skills in diplomatic dialogue, think critically about global issues, and work together to find practical solutions.

The event began with a formal inaugural ceremony that was graced by the Principal Mr. Rakesh Joshi, Vice Principals & Asst. Vice Principals of various sections, Heads of various departments of Middle section, teachers, mentors, dais members and delegates. Our dear Principal, Mr. Rakesh Joshi, delivered an inspiring and heartwarming speech that truly encouraged the students to relax, enjoy the sessions, and make the most of their MUN experience. All the students took part with great enthusiasm, and their active involvement as delegates in 10 committees representing 25 countries truly stood out. The experience made them feel like future leaders, encouraging them to think critically and solve problems with confidence.

The mentors from the senior section guided and supported the middle school students throughout the event. ISM MUN Junior 2025 had ten committees that discussed important global issues. These included WHO, UNEP, FAO, IOC, UNICEF, UNSC, UNW, G20, CWON, and SOCHUM. Each committee was made up of enthusiastic and well-prepared delegates and DAIS members who showed strong knowledge and impressive diplomatic skills throughout the sessions.

The delegates discussed a wide range of topics, such as ensuring mental health and wellbeing, providing medical support to underdeveloped countries, ensuring equitable access to AI and emerging technologies, food security, caring for the environment, addressing gender discrimination, combating climate etc.

The conference saw active participation, meaningful discussions, and collaborative resolutions from around 250 students. Every committee took the time to carefully discuss and refine each resolution.

ISM MUN JUNIOR truly sparked passion among the delegates and empowered them to imagine and work towards a better world. The conference concluded with a valedictory ceremony, where the Best Delegate and Best Committee awards were proudly presented.
