Celebrating ISM@50, Indian School Muscat (ISM) hosted the "Radiant Rhythms", Inter-school Rock Fest Competition on October 17, 2024. This dynamic event brought together talented student bands from eight Indian schools across the region to showcase their musical prowess and celebrate the spirit of competition and collaboration. Radiant Rhythms was a highlight of the school's 50th anniversary celebrations, marking a half-century of excellence in education and extracurricular activities. The event, held at the New Multipurpose Hall, witnessed an electrifying atmosphere filled with passion, energy, and musical flair.
The fest featured ten rock bands from various Indian schools, competing against each other in a series of performances that ranged from classic rock covers to hard rock. The competition aimed to foster creativity, teamwork, and musical talent among students, while also promoting cultural exchange and camaraderie between schools.
The Chief Guest of the evening, Mr. Abbas Al-Lawati, a renowned Comedian, Radio Presenter and Producer, illuminated the event with his presence. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Nidheesh Kumar P.P, Finance Director, Board of Directors, Indian Schools in the Sultanate of Oman graced the occasion and witnessed this historic moment. The event was also graced by Dr. Hafsa Banu, Dentist and President of International Action Art of Oman as Special Guest, members of the School Management Committee, Principal, Mr. Rakesh Joshi, Senior Vice-Principal, Administration, Vice Principals and Assistant Vice Principals of various sections, Heads of Departments, teachers, grandparents, parents, students and notable guests. A panel of experienced judges and musical maestros evaluated the bands based on their performance, stage presentation, and musicianship.
Throughout the evening, participants demonstrated impressive vocal skills, intricate guitar solos, and powerful drumming that brought the audience to their feet. The fest culminated in a grand finale, where the winning bands were announced and awarded trophies, certificates, and accolades. Indian School Bousher was declared the Winner of the "Radiant Rhythm", Inter-school Rock Fest Competition 2024 while Indian School Muscat secured the Runner-up position.
Radiant Rhythms not only highlighted the musical prowess of young rock enthusiasts but also provided a platform for students to express their creativity and connect through music. The rock fest concluded with participants and audience celebrating together, creating lasting memories of an unforgettable day filled with rhythm, energy, and inspiration.
