On October 6, 2024, a group of 20 students from Indian School Muscat accompanied by two teachers had the remarkable opportunity to visit ICGS VEERA, the Indian Navy's training ship, as it docked at the Oman coast. The sailors gave the group a warm welcome, ensuring a memorable experience.
The walk through the vessel was intriguing and the detailed working of the harbour, helo deck and bridge helped the team gain insight of the ship’s navigation and control systems. This visit opened before them a rare window that showcased the lives of naval officers, instilling a deep respect for the maritime forces. The sailors' hospitality and the impressive ship left a lasting impression on the students which they will never forget.
