Students from Indian School Muscat delivered a stellar performance at the CBSE National Sports and Games 2025–26, held across two venues in India—Udaipur for Chess (2nd–5th September) and Varanasi for Athletics (10th–13th September). The school contingent returned with multiple medals, including Gold, Bronze and the prestigious Overall Championship in the Under-14 Girls category.
Chess (Udaipur, 2nd–5th September)
In a display of strategic brilliance and composure, the school’s chess teams made their mark at the national level. Gold – U19 Girls Individual Championship: Shybi Binoj of Class XII B emerged as the National Champion, securing the top podium in the individual event.
U19 Girls Team Championship: The senior team clinched the Bronze Medal with a strong performance from Shybi Binoj (XII B), Sahanna Rajmohan (XII E), Sarah Mary Renny (XII C) & Dhwani Modha (IX M).
Bronze. The wonderful team comprised Vidusha Mahesh Prabhu (VII C), Stuthi Nayak (VIII B), Sloka Sujith (V K) & Vadapalli Varshika (VII B).
Athletics (Varanasi, 10th–13th September)
The school’s athletes sprinted to glory with remarkable performances on the track.
Gold – U14 Girls 4x100m Relay:
The relay team showcased exceptional speed and coordination to dominate the event, with an outstanding lineup comprising Lavishka Jiss (VIII F), Zerin Nishad (VII F), Jessel Ruth Pinto (VIII H), Vidusha Mahesh Prabhu (VII C) and Avira Vijay Raj (IX L).
Bronze – U17 Girls 4x100m Relay:
The U17 girls’ team secured another remarkable finish, with a capable squad featuring Manha Mariyam (XI L), Sree Nidhuna P Nair (X M), Shanza Mehreen (IX D), Hifza Aysha (IX N), and Evelia Achsah Aneesh (XI D).
Overall Championship – Under-14 Girls
Crowning a successful campaign, the school secured the Overall Championship Trophy in the Under-14 Girls category, reflecting all-around excellence in both Individual and Team events.
