The Chief Guest, Saa’dat Sheikh Dr. Hamad bin Said bin Abdullah Al Maamari, Wali of Muttrah, graced the occasion with his eminent presence, infusing the event with an aura of dignity and reverence. The ceremony was further elevated by distinguished dignitaries including Mr. Syed Ahmad Salman, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman, Mr. Sherry Johny, Vice President of the Indian School Muscat Management Committee, Engineer Murtadha Mohammed Al Isani, Sheikh Ibrahim Bin Muhammed Al Wahaibi, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Muhammed Al Hashly, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Khamis Al Ahsani, Mr. Salim bin Mohammed Al Ghammari and Engineer Tariq Mohammed Ali Al Alawi. Also in attendance were the school Principal, Mr. Rakesh Joshi, Senior Vice-Principal Administration, Vice-Principals, Assistant Vice-Principals of various sections, educators and students.

The national anthems of Oman and India reverberated through the hall, followed by tranquil prayer recitations and eloquent welcome address that expressed deep respect for His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq. The programme then unfolded into a vibrant cultural homage to the Sultanate, blossoming into a sequence of artistic expressions that celebrated Oman’s storied past, cultural splendour and promising future. A soulful Arabic group song, a graceful Omani dance and a compelling digital presentation on Oman Vision 2040 highlighted the nation’s rich legacy, ambitious aspirations and enduring identity as a realm of harmony and progress. These presentations, reflecting genuine admiration and gratitude, offered a fitting tribute to the host nation’s benevolence by showcasing the grandeur of Omani traditions and conveying the profound sense of belonging felt by the Indian community, which continues to find a second home within the Sultanate’s gracious embrace.

Enriching the celebration, Ms. Maryam Al-Rawahi, an Omani staff member, delivered an insightful address that illuminated the significance of this auspicious day and deepened the audience’s appreciation for Oman’s noble heritage. The celebration culminated in a cake-cutting ceremony held in honour of Oman’s current leadership and in remembrance of the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. A deep sense of gratitude filled the occasion as the school principal honoured the dignitaries with mementoes, symbolising the community’s respect and heartfelt appreciation for their unfaltering support and encouragement. More than a school function, the celebration stood as the embodiment of the enduring friendship between India and Oman, nurtured through mutual respect, shared values and decades of harmonious coexistence.
