EMPOWERING FUTURE LEADERS AT ISM

On 22nd August, 2024, the future leaders of Indian School Muscat had the privilege to witness a session conducted by the Principal, Mr Rakesh Joshi on Honing Leadership Skills in the New Multi-Purpose Hall. A mammoth number of 130 prefects and 30 council members had the opportunity to participate in the session. Head Boy, Nihal Bhatt accorded a warm welcome to the enthusiastic gathering.

The Principal urged students to be like the exemplary leaders Tenzing and Hillary who did not just guide the way but also paved the way for their team members. Sir also said that leadership is the ability to plan accurately and execute with precision like the mountaineers scaling Mt. Everest.

Quoting Swami Vivekananda, sir said that a leader sacrifices his own needs and desires for the greater good of his nation, community and family. To reinforce the spirit of altruism and selflessness the students also read the pledge in unison.














Students were quite engrossed in the presentation which elaborated the seven key traits that play a pivotal role in fortifying the leadership skills. Sir also asked the students to focus more on proper communication, hard work and intuitiveness since they always top the list.

The vibrant student- leaders participating in the Question-and-Answer session added more charm to the programme. The session concluded with the proposal of Vote of Thanks by the Head Girl, Gayathri Amarkumar.
