INDIAN SCHOOL MUSCAT MARKS 78TH INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH UNWAVERING PATRIOTISM

On August 15, 2024, Indian School Muscat celebrated India's 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The NMPH was adorned with festive decorations, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The event was honoured by the presence of Dr. Subramanian Muthuraman, Chair of the Academic Sub Committee of the Indian School Muscat Management Committee, as well as directors of the Board of Directors, members of the School Management Committee, Principal Mr. Rakesh Joshi, Senior Vice-Principal Administration, Vice-Principals, Assistant Vice-Principals, teachers, students and their parents.

The Indian National Anthem, which sparked a sense of nationalism in all attendees, marked the commencement of the programme. Gayathri Amarkumar, Head Girl of the Senior Section, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. The moment was truly uplifting as the chief guest read excerpts from the President’s message, which highlighted the vision set by the nation’s leaders in their pursuit of progress and prosperity. The patriotic song sung by the school choir stirred a deep sense of pride and nationalism in the audience. The atmosphere was filled with a mix of joy, hope, and pride, as everyone appeared to be deeply touched by these emotions.














Honouring the supreme sacrifices of the nation's great warriors, the impressive digital presentation on India's advancements in science and technology since 1947 served as both a tribute to these legends and a message for the youth to continue their legacy. The vibrant dance performance by the school’s blooming buds added a dynamic touch, showcasing India's rich cultural diversity. The performance captured the essence of 'Unity in Diversity,' leaving the audience deeply moved.


















The celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Nihal Bhatt, Head Boy of the Senior Section. It was a day brimming with joy, dedicated to honouring love and respect for the country and pledging to enhance it as a place where freedom, peace, and unity in diversity can flourish. The event not only honoured India’s history but also sought to inspire and shape responsible and proud citizens for the future.
