Innovative activities in kindergarten focus on holistic development of the child thus fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride. Integrating play based learning with the educational goals enhances the learning experience and enriches a child’s knowledge.

The Pre Primary section of Indian School Muscat conducted a ‘Bharat on the Moon’ activity for the little space explorers on August 22nd, 2024. A classroom was converted into a planetarium and a projector was set-up inside to display the space and space elements for the kindergarteners. The children were shown an AV display of a Spaceship launch and the Solar System. The teachers also explained the successful Chandrayaan - 3 expedition which helped India gain its place in space technology on August 23, 2023. This virtual journey of the Space and the Solar system was truly a one of its kind experience for the young kindergarteners. By bringing the wonders of space into the classroom, children had an engaging experience giving them a lasting interest in astronomy and science.














The Pre Primary Vice Principal, Mrs Prema George appreciated the teachers for the success of this activity and encouraged them to include more such innovative programmes to enhance the child’s learning experience.
