Indian School Muscat unfurls its splendid plumage of success chapters by lifting yet another colossal victory cup in the CBSE Class XII - All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) held in May – June, 2022. The students of Science, Commerce and Humanities Streams have successfully cemented their school’s position in the league of extraordinary educational institutions, with their commendable accomplishment. The Principal, Dr. Rajeev Kumar Chauhan congratulated all the stakeholders for achieving such a significant result, even in the face of adversity. A batch of students who grappled with the limitations of online classes during the pandemic, for two academic years and taken the examination in the physical mode, yet exhibited astounding performance is a momentous feat.
Of all the 437 students who appeared for the above examination, 20.1% of students secured overall A1 grade, which is the top 1/8 of the total CBSE schools in India and abroad. The overall school average of 80.3% average of the Humanities Stream 81% Science Stream 79% and Commerce Stream 81% is highly commendable. It’s extremely praiseworthy to see that the percentage of A1 and A2 in subjects appeared is 40.1% and 11 students secured a perfect score of centum in various subjects. The school’s pledge to stand out unparalleled in academics, resounded in this year’s exceptional results.
STREAM TOPPERS
In the Science Stream, Tejassree Mohanakrishnan, scored 97.8% and secured the first position and topped the school result. Sumairaa Khan and Rimaz Alam Khan bagged the second position with a score of 96.6%, and Anant Agrawal secured the third position with a score of 96.2%.
In the Humanities Stream, Sharlotte Carvalho bagged a whopping score of 97.4% and secured the first position, Aaron Arthur Menezes who scored 96.4% stood second and Aditi Shekar who scored 95.2% secured the third position.
In the Commerce Stream, Svetlana Ruth D’souza stood first scoring 96.8 %. Close on her heels is Naisa Shetty B with a percentage of 96.4% in the second position followed closely by Ithi Arunkumar with 95.6% in the third position.
CENTUM SCORERS
Another historic milestone is that eleven students took the lead by securing centum, 100 marks in various subjects. Tejassree Mohanakrishnan in Physics and Biology, Rimaz Alam Khan in Chemistry, Aryan Hrishikesh Nair in Mathematics, two students, Priyanka Akilan and Sumairaa Khan in Computer Science, Naisa Shetty in Accountancy and Business Studies, two students, Akhila Lakshminarasimhan and Aditi Shekar in Psychology and Ithi Arunkumar in Entrepreneurship brought home glory by scoring a perfect 100.
SUBJECT TOPPERS
The following students scored the highest in various subjects and bagged the topper’s position in their respective subjects. A score of 100% was secured by Tejassree Mohanakrishnan in Physics and Biology, Rimaz Alam Khan in Chemistry, Aryan Hrishikesh Nair in Mathematics, two students, Priyanka Akilan and Sumairaa Khan in Computer Science, Naisa Shetty in Accountancy and Business Studies, two students, Akhila Lakshminarasimhan and Aditi Shekar in Psychology and Ithi Arunkumar in Entrepreneurship.
99% was scored by Naisa Shetty in Economics, Diya Susan Varghese in Sociology, Muhammad Tawfeeq Misafanan Kamil and Nekha Sudheer in Engineering Graphics, Sharlotte Carvalho and Meghana Ramesh in Painting, Sharlotte Carvalho, Tarunpreet Kaur and Fathima Amra in Marketing and Akhil Akhtar Ahmed in Business Administration.
Hamid Iqbal, Michelle Ellen Joseph and Priyanka Hiren Gagvani scored a highest of 98% in English and Ananya Sabherwal secured 97% in Information Technology, 94% scored by Vaishali Sivakumar in Applied Mathematics, 94% again by Devika Pradeepan in Informatics Practices and 91% by Junaid Sayed in Physical Education.
